There were good presentations by the Grandson of the designer of the Spirit of St. Louis that Charles Lindbergh flew from New York to Paris, as well as Captain Al Haynes who was pilot in command of the United Airlines flight 232, a DC-10 jet that crash landed in Sioux City, Iowa after a catastrophic engine failure caused the loss of all flight controls. Captain Haynes credited, Luck, Cooperation, Communication, and Preparation as factors that led to the remarkable outcome that saved the lives of two-thirds of the nearly 300 people on board.
